Solid State Materials for Electronics research group are part of the University of Groningen Zernike Institute for advanced materials. Because they are part of the University it was very important for their website to conform closely with the University website and corporate image.

The groups website was built using contents management system Modx so that the group could easily manage their website. The website has several page layouts so the group can pick the one that works best for any new contents they have to add. It has several useful features such as a whole site search, a search of group personnel, email address encryption, jquery image banner, share tool and incorporated Google calendar schedule for equipment.
